Main Responsibilities

Project Manage/Supervisor

Attend meetings on a technical basis
Produce high quality processing reports

Experience Required

Candidate Requirements:
Degree level education essential, MSc advantageous
Processing geophysicist with over 10 years experience
Extensive experience in the processing and interpretation of Pre-Stack Depth Migrated (PSDM) seismic data
Knowledge and experience of PSDM sub-salt processing
Knowledge of the fundamentals of depth conversion and the range of velocity modelling and depth conversion techniques
Knowledge of AVO, synthetic, VSP and other modelling techniques
Competent user of any of the following software:-
ProMAX, VISTA, FOCUS & GEODEPTH, OMEGA, GEO VECTURE/CLUSTER &/or TANGO software.
Interpretation software/practises – PC based system such as Kingdom/Petrel
Excellent communication skills

Main Responsibilities
Project support for 2D, 3D, Time lapse (4D), Ocean bottom cable (OBC), and Multi-component (4C) seismic data acquisition and processing for land, marine and transition zone (TZ) environments. The services we offer include:
Survey project management
Environmental studies
Survey planning/design and parameter determination
Provision of technical specifications
Invitation to Tender preparation, management and review
Contract clarification and negotiation
Field QC supervision (seismic acquisition, positioning, processing, Marine Mammal Observation and HSE)
Seismic data processing management and QC (office and field-based)

Senior Geophysicist - Depth Conversion  Oxfordshire

Role Outline

As a Senior Geophysicist you will have hands-on involvement in many of our client's projects with particular emphasis on high quality seismic interpretation, depth conversion and mapping for both fully integrated reservoir studies and prospect analyses alike. You will be familiar with the benefits and pitfalls of seismic attribute and inversion analysis.

You are a team player but have the ability to work unsupervised whilst staying within an overall timeframe and/or budget. You are strong in mathematics and have some experience of the numerical simulation / stochastic realisations of velocity modelling. You are articulate and can express yourself clearly and concisely both to colleagues and external clients, in writing or verbally. You enjoy a challenge, are keen to take on more responsibility but know when to ask for help. You have preferably had some experience in an oil company but a good grounding in a consultancy (at least 10 years) is also desirable.

Overview of Role:

Office based role for an experienced Sales Advisor ideally with scientific/laboratory sales experience and/or a knowledge of chemistry. To build and maintain excellent customer relationships with both new and existing clients to maximise sales opportunities and ensure repeat business. Act as support to external business development colleagues.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide quotations and renewals and follow these up by contacting customers in order to maximise opportunities.
Calling new customers to assist the sales team with lead generation (Cold calling)
Provide cover for sales team (holiday sickness cover)
Support the sales team with tender returns and prequalification questionnaires.
Follow up after reports have been issued in order to gain further quoting opportunities and repeat business.

The post holder will work closely with the Group Environment Policy Manager taking an overview of their EMS and advising on the performance and possible improvements on its form and function of the EMS.
